Responsible for ensuring at the administrative level that all research activities are coordinated with affected departments within the practice. Coordinates staff training and in-services. Coach and develop staff. Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, assessing performance, recommended salary changes, and progressive discipline. Enforces adherence to company policies. Collaborate in the development of research accountability standards, metrics, and reports and identifies areas of improvement. Collaborates with site research leader (SRL), upper management, and staff in the implementation of action plans designed to improve practice research operations and quality assurance functions. Performance quality assessments. Collaborates with SRL and upper management on the development of research budgets, financial objectives, and accrual targets. Collaborates with the SRL, physicians in the practice, community, and referring physicians. Ensure adequate staffing /FTEs for assigned clinics. Float to clinics to cover staffing needs. Develop programmatic work across the research department. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred Current MN licensure and registration required Current or pending OCN certification preferred Current CPR certification required Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferred in oncology. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of pharma clinical research, cooperative group research, and Investigator-initiated research. Knowledge of basic computer programs is also required Attention to detail, solid execution, decision making, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player. Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) - Large percent of time performing computer based work is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
