This job is a member of the Delivery Transformation Office & Organizational Change Management team within the Information Technology Division. As a member of this team, you will be part of a multi-year technology transformation program where we are focused on transforming the American Airlines IT organization in many ways, anchored by our corporate vision and mission. Across six workstreams, we are driving resiliency in delivery, excellence in engineering, and modernizing our technology. Your role in support of this journey is driven by working directly with key stakeholders to make strategic decisions that align to our labor transformation enabling a globalized workforce with new roles, responsibilities and tiles across IT.
The Portfolio Domain refers to the area within Information Technology that focuses on managing an organization's collection of IT investments, projects, programs, and initiatives in a strategic and coordinated manner. The primary goal of IT portfolio management is to align these investments with the organization's goals, maximize the value of IT expenditures, and ensure effective resource utilization.

Works closely with the Portfolio, Executive and Sr Leadership teams to set strategic goals, ensure alignment with corporate objectives and execute on strategic initiatives.
Assist in the execution and tracking of the program's strategic roadmap
Plans and manages programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment to organizational goals and strategies
Manages resource allocation for supporting programs and initiatives
Identify and manage program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and track issues to resolution
Act as an escalation point for leaders and proactively resolve any reported issues that may have impact to programs and our corporate goals
Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support decision-making
Provide guidance to leaders and team members that support strategic programs, initiatives and corporate goals
Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations for Portfolio, Executive and Sr Leadership meetings/forums
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with follow-up on behalf of the Portfolio, Executive and/or Sr Leaders
Oversee day-to-day operations within the department, ensuring efficient processes and workflows
Manages to key performance metrics and ensure timely delivery of programs and initiatives
Lead efforts to streamline processes, promote operational excellence, and implement best practices across the organization
Collaborate across organizations and key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication
Serve as a liaison between the Portfolio, Executive and/or Sr Leaders and internal/external stakeholders
Supports budget activities as required for supported programs
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, Leadership, Project Management, Information Technology, or other related fields
7+ years of experience in a corporate environment with understanding of project/program management, human resources, financial optimization, and/or technology operations
Current or prior experience holding a leadership position
Strong track record of managing cross-functional programs and initiatives

10+ years of experience in a corporate environment with understanding of project/program management, human resources, financial optimization, and/or technology operations
Experience with optimization, transformation, or reorganization strategies
