Job Overview:

Performing secretarial duties to the daily demands of the Cancer Ctr-Admin department. Acts as an administrative contact for all patients, family members, and visitors by demonstrating immediate, courteous, and cooperative interactions at all times.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Prior healthcare experience is required.

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is required.

Detailed knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word for Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office Outlook.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage projects.

Strong anticipation skills and forward-thinking.

Able to interact at all levels with internal and external personnel.

Preferred:

Associate/Bachelors preferred.

5+ years administrative secretarial experience is strongly preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

Full-time, Day

Essential Functions:

Provides secretarial/administrative support directly to clinical faculty and senior staff exercising confidentiality.

Using business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries.

Receives, screens, and directs incoming calls, patients, mail and email.

Maintains files, records, calendars, arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements and tracks expenses.
