Service Manager/Control Systems Manager

Job Description

The Service Manager will perform a leadership role in developing, implementing, and monitoring service plans. The Service Manager will supervise and manage the service staff/department and be in direct contact (onsite and offsite) with customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare service reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Manage the annual service department.

Organize appropriate and timely service requests.

Contract with service providers.

Analyze service and support failures.

Create preventive maintenance (PM) service plans.

Run Temperature Uniformity Tests per industry standards (AMS 2750).

Coordinate warranty parts shipments, and manage the returned material for sites and vendor repairs of returned material from the field.

Plan and coordinate maintenance events with customers to ensure high availability and reliability of equipment.

Travel to customers to build relationships, handle emergency troubleshooting, and repairs (less than 20% travel required).

Present upgrade opportunities to customers.

Supervise field installations.

Essential Skills

Understanding of high and low voltage schematics, drive systems, temperature controllers, and P&ID loops.

Basic PLC programming and troubleshooting.

Supervisory skills.

Experience with customer and vendor interaction.

Proficiency in engineering schematics, SolidWorks, and ISO 9001 procedures.

At least 5 years of relevant work experience.

Hands-on experience in field service functions.

Experience with gas burner systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with SolidWorks or similar software.

Proficiency in Office 365.

Experience with PLC, Honeywell, temperature controllers, thermal mechanics, and welding.

Good communication skills with staff, vendors, and customers.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at Pico Rivera and may require 10-20% travel to customer and vendor sites. All travel expenses will be covered. You will work in a small manufacturing company with 25 employees, overseeing up to 5 service technicians.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Great benefits and commission with salary.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Pico Rivera,CA.
