Job Title: SuperintendentJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Northern Virginia. This role is focused on healthcare ground-up construction projects. Our office is based in Winchester, VA, but the majority of the work is in the Fairfax corridor/NOVA area. We specialize in high-level commercial construction and offer a stable and growing work environment with a history of over 125 years.

Responsibilities

Pre-qualify subcontractors and conduct subcontractor visits

Supervise 5-10 staff members across multiple projects

Manage all field personnel, including providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the staff

Develop daily schedules for the job site and handle any issues that arise

Oversee Requests for Information (RFI) and submittals

Essential Skills

8+ years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up or interiors commercial/healthcare construction

Proven experience in managing projects worth $20 million or more

Experience dealing with subcontractors, scheduling, and budgeting from a field perspective

OSHA 30 certification

First aid and CPR certification

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in K-12, higher education, and senior living construction projects

Work Environment

This position requires on-site work in Winchester, VA, and NOVA on a daily basis. The team is small and focused on high-level healthcare construction projects across Virginia. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally, the employee may encounter wet or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risk, radiation, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.00/hr.
