St. Luke's Health-Brazosport Hospital is located on a beautiful 25-acre campus in Lake Jackson Texas. Offering state-of-the-art diagnostic and comprehensive treatment services our hospital is home to a 154-bed patient tower level III trauma center advanced cardiac care center and full-service multidisciplinary cancer center. Our team consists of over 100 board-certified physicians and nearly 600 highly skilled employees to meet our patients' medical needs. Responsibilities

Performs a variety of routine tasks to support the delivery of safe, effective, cost-efficient patient care as delegated by the RN. They provide assistance in transporting, transferring and lifting. They perform cleaning functions in patient care unit as delegated, and perform selected diagnostic tests.

Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff

Monitors and records vital signs

Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs

Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output

Obtains and records daily weight

Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter

Reports changes in patient's status promptly to RN

Performs as sitter or patient care companion when needed

Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge process

Performs unit housekeeping needs.

Delivers specimens, picks up medications and other items

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED Required

1 year of previous patient care experience required

BLS required

Pay Range

$14.82 - $20.38 /hour
