Senior Medical Assistant

Regions Hospital is seeking a Sr. Medical Assistant with knowledge of basic patient care and routine medical, physical and developmental tests to join our Lakeview Clinic team. This is a per diem position and will be picking up shifts Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am-5pm. In this position you will perform designated duties relating to patient diagnosis and treatment based on the age-specific needs of the adolescent and patient population served; to assist doctors and nurses in a clinic setting in the provision of general health care; to coordinate clinic specific functions; to monitor and order needed supplies for the clinic, to act as back up position to the front/back desk area, work with computer software database programs and to perform related duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Clinic hours 0700-1700 Required Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program. Six months experience in specialty area (e.g. Oncology, Medicine). Preferred Qualifications: Two years of medical assistant experience.
