We are hiring a Buyer/Planner to join the Procurement Team.

Position Summary

The Buyer/Planner handles the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, components, and services necessary to meet production demands and customer requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, including forecasting, to ensure timely material procurement while maintaining the supplier relationship.

Duties & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the inventory level for East Hazel Crest location, ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.

Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and other important data.

Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders.

Report on purchasing activities and product usage.

Update PO confirmation when receiving from suppliers.

Review wire rope activities and ensure inventory accuracy.

Bi-weekly report for sales team.

Understand surcharge and update surcharge on timely.

Forecast and plan for stock products.

Form close alliances with Operations team members and further collaborate on inventory, shipments, and lots.

Lead cycle counts and/or annual physical inventory.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management, any rigging shop or related experience preferred.

Must have 5+ years of experience in purchasing and planning.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Strong knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong organizational and time management skills
