Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in RIDGEFIELD, Connecticut. This role is integral to our operations, as you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and conducting bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

Accurately process vendor invoices and customer credit applications

Conduct weekly check runs and bank deposits

Maintain precise records of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

Manage data entry tasks and book payments

Handle collections and billing operations

Assist with credit card statements, reconciliations, and receipt submissions

Perform bank and account reconciliations

Coordinate with the team to ensure month-end close processes are completed

Use QuickBooks Enterprise for various bookkeeping tasks

Manage the process of opening mail and sorting relevant financial documents

Requirements

Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

Experienced in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

Skilled in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

Strong Bookkeeping skills

Efficient in Data Entry

Proficient in using Microsoft Excel

Experience in Month End Close procedures

Knowledge of Payroll processes

Familiarity with QuickBooks

Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise

Proficient in using Quickbooks Online

Ability to Post Payments accurately

Skilled in Entering Vendor Invoices

Ability to perform Credit Card Reconciliation

Experience with handling Credit Card Receipts

Skilled in managing Credit Card Charges

Ability to execute Check Runs

Experience in Processing Check Requests

Proficient in Collecting Payments

Ability to perform Bank Deposits

Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation

A Plus:

Proficient in Collecting Payments

Experience in Collections- phone/email
