This position offers a competitive base pay and is eligible for the Company variable pay (bonus) plan. Benefits start first day and include insurance, paid time off, and various customer discount programs.
The Doe Run Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to plan, maintain, and coordinate electrical maintenance, new installs, and day-to-day job activities for the electrical shops and engineering. This position will be located in Boss, MO.
Title/pay will be based on education and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment to regulatory standards. Provide maintenance on existing systems to keep them running.
Complete electrical maintenance planning, budgeting, and upgrades for preventative maintenance. Perform reactive maintenance by completing root cause failure analysis and identifying how to prevent future issues.
Conduct hoist audits and troubleshooting of unit, safety audits, site walk arounds to monitor systems to determine if they are any issues and corrective actions to be taken.
Recommend upgrades to electrical control systems.
Review and complete time sheets, work orders, project management sheets, ordered parts, and various paperwork, reports, and forms.
Responsible for oversite of daily activities of electrical shop crew.
Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health and safety) policies, procedures and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 1 year of hands on experience as an electrical engineer
Experience designing electrical control systems ispreferred.
Experience managing engineering projects ispreferred.
Valid drivers license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, budgeting (Adaptive), drafting (AutoCAD), LIM ETMS (I-Series), PeopleSoft, and Tableau
Basic knowledge of various surface and underground electrical systems
Ability to create and read electricalprints.
Environmental Conditions, Physical and Lifting Requirements:
Regularly required to use a computer and telephone.
Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts; Occasionally wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, fall protection,hearing protection, and eyewear, required to work underground; Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and wet, humid (non-weather) conditions; Occasionally required to wear personal protective equipment for arc flash. May be exposed to moderate noise levels.
Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, talk and hear; Occasionally required to use repetitivemotion and reach with hands/arms. Requires clarity of vision at less than 20 inches, ability to distinguish color, and three-dimensional vision.
Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
