Screen Printer

Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm

Employment Type: Full Time, Benefits Eligible (Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401(k), and more)

Location: Northeastern Industrial Park, Guilderland Center, NY

We are looking to add a screen printer to our team in Guilderland Center, NY!

The screen printer role is responsible for the creation of well-designed PPE equipment articles that fully meet the customer's logo specifications by prepping and printing via manual and automatic machines. To ensure success as a screen printer, you should exhibit advanced artistic skills, have the ability to stand for long hours, be comfortable with manual labor in a light industrial environment, and have excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities Include:

Examine work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities.

Design screen patterns according to customer specifications.

Select appropriate screen size, degreasing agents, and emulsion coatings.

Load screens into the printing press, both manual and auto.

Mix inks in order to color match PMS / Pantone Colors.

Install and reposition screen to ensure proper registration of images.

Run prints and perform quality checks throughout the printing process.

Troubleshoot problems as they arise.

Dry, fold and pack completed articles.

Follow safety guidelines and procedures when operating equipment and handling products.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate effective productivity.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous work experience as a screen printer preferred.

Excellent hand-eye coordination.

High level of creative and artistic skills.

Ability to stand for long periods.

Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day.

Ability to manually operate large machinery in a light industrial environment.

Ability to work Independently with little supervision.

Ability to work nights if required.

Other duties as assigned.
