Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Sr. Manager will lead system support for production tickets, drive enhancements, and foster customer partnerships for existing Studio O2C systems, with a primary focus on Global TV Distribution. This exciting role will also be an essential strategic partner of all Finance Transformation initiatives, including but not limited to, the transition to a new accounting subledger and general ledger. You will be required to work closely with all system touchpoint leads, as well as Controllership and FP&A teams. Continuous communication and follow-through to all stakeholders are paramount in this role.
This position reports to the Sr. Director, Finance Systems for TV Distribution, and will have exposure to several global financial and technology leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead production support prioritization process of open items and work with IT business analysts to understand solutions, produce questions, and ensure proper timing of deployments. Communicate material open tickets to controllership teams quarterly.
Continuously identify and document areas for operational process improvements/simplification to reduce burdens within system.
Conduct intake requirements and oversee UAT future enhancements process. Create structured documentation of key design decisions, end-to-end test scenarios, and expected system outcomes. Prepare recommendations for all results that have a gap from the intended effect.
Become superuser for all order to cash systems. Develop and maintain close relationships with all technology system leaders.
Review licensing agreements to understand key contract provisions produced during contract processing. Evaluate contracts for unique/complex accounting issues. Work with Technical Accounting to determine systematic changes necessary for proper accounting treatment.
Provide critical input in discussions with senior leadership (operations, sales admin, technology, and finance) for next step solutions for enhancements.
Develop high-impact presentations for executive audiences, incorporating compelling storytelling to effectively communicate key messages in critical business scenarios.
Ad hoc special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance
Desired Characteristics:
Solid understanding of US GAAP Revenue Recognition rules
Experience in working with technology for system enhancements
Must have advanced level MS Excel experience
Excellent analytical ability and detailed oriented
A team player who can also work independently and is a self starter
Demonstrated ability to deliver while working under time pressure on multiple assignments
Ability to adapt and work well in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
