Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Capacity and Capability Planning, SV is responsible for the planning and management of resources to ensure that the organization can meet current and future demands across all SV product lines.

This role involves analysing business requirements, forecasting capacity needs, and developing long-term strategies and scenarios to improve operational efficiency and capability.

This role is also responsible for key strategic programs which deliver long term capabilities for the SV organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Capacity Planning:

Analyse current workload and forecast future capacity requirements based on market trends and organizational goals.

Develop and maintain models to assess capacity utilization and identify potential bottlenecks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align capacity management with production, sales, and service delivery.

Identify gaps in current capabilities and recommend improvements or new investments to enhance efficiency.

Partner with key strategic partners to deliver programs that enable Supply Chain capacity and capabilities.

Monitor industry trends and competitor capabilities to ensure the organization remains competitive.

Strategic Planning:

Lead the development of the organization's strategic plans related to capacity and workforce planning.

Participate in long-range forecasting and scenario planning to prepare for various business outcomes.

Present capacity and capability analysis to senior management and partners.

Performance Metrics:

Establish performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of capacity planning and capability development initiatives.

Regularly review and report on critical metrics related to capacity usage, operational efficiency, and workforce productivity.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with operations, finance, and product management teams to deliver a coordinated capacity planning process with overall business objectives.

Facilitate meetings and workshops to collect inputs from various departments and build a unified approach to capacity planning.

Budget Management:

Manage budgets associated with capacity planning and capability initiatives, ensuring efficient decisions and resource allocation.

Prepare business cases for investments in new technologies or processes that can improve capacity and capability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent.

Master's degree or MBA or equivalent preferred.

Extensive experience in capacity planning, operations management, or supply chain management (typically 7+ years).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in data analysis and forecasting techniques.

Excellent communication skills.

Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems for planning and analysis.

Strong project management capabilities.
