Job Description
The Rehabilitation Specialist performs all duties and responsibilities of the staff and senior occupational therapist in addition to providing training to staff. The Rehabilitation Specialist ensures quality care and consistency in treatment approaches, as well as provides consultation with staff in area of expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
5 years experience in field.
Minimum of 5 Continuing Education Courses taken in specialty area.
Name: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred Issuing Agency: Occupational Therapy New York State License
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $65,885.00 - $98,827.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities
1.Administers occupational therapy intervention to referred and assigned patients and consults with physician, team, patient and caregivers to determine realistic goals prior to and during the team conference.
2.Provides hands-on, supervision and consults to staff in area of expertise.
3.Conducts in-service training and provides current research information as appropriate to all staff and students.
4.Maintains patients daily attendance and statistical records.
5.Responsible for program development and implementation.
6.Provides patient care coverage for absent staff as necessary.
7.Performs regular patient chart audits to ensure documents are in compliance with department policies.
8.1-2 continuing education courses per year.
9.Performs other related duties.
10.Cover for Therapy Manager as needed.
