The Sys VP Facilities Operations, Construction & Real Estate is responsible for PeaceHealth's master facility planning and property management for both acute and ambulatory. Oversees, leads and manages overall site selection, property management selection and maintenance. Develops systemwide programs and policies consistent with PeaceHealth's overall direction and strategic plan. Provides planning and direction for areas of responsibility, including cost projections and plans for all new initiatives in areas of responsibility. Establishes goals and objectives in alignment with overall PeaceHealth strategy and direction. Serves as a key executive leader and strategic advisor on master planning and development initiatives across the PeaceHealth system. The Sys VP Facilities Ops & Construction & R/E must ensure that quality and performance improvement activities meet their target conditions. The Sys VP Facilities Ops & Construction & R/E is responsible to adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards for their areas and to be continuously ready for any survey on those regulations or standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides leadership and oversight of PeaceHealth's master planning and property management for both acute and ambulatory facilities. Drives solutions that optimize all buildings and properties and ensures delivery of strategic and operational objectives by managing facility costs, productivity, capacity, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
Oversees, leads and manages overall site selection, property management selection and maintenance. Develops master plans and feasibility reviews to include programs and service lines, physical structure, permitting and project budget estimates. Oversees development of construction proposals on new projects and renovations and the bid process to ensure projects are on time and within budget.
Directs budget development and management of assigned areas to ensure financial performance measurements are achieved. Oversees and ensures completion of all new construction, renovations, and maintenance of all acute and ambulatory facilities.
Develops, aligns and implements strategic and operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with senior leadership for successful implementation of necessary enhancements.
Facilitates strategic initiatives for all areas of responsibility. Provides leadership, asset management, capital planning and attainment of operational targets. Reviews and approves requests for proposals and negotiates contract/vendor agreements.
Ensures adequate staffing requirements are in place and provides executive leadership to assigned staff.
Ensures all PeaceHealth facilities are in compliance with all federal and state healthcare facility maintenance and operations requirements.
Builds and fosters excellent relationships with key stakeholders at the systems and network level; actively participates in strategy surrounding growth initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree required: Building Construction, Facilities Operations, Property Management, or related field (Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management).
Master's Degree preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a health care setting with facilities, construction management, and property management.
Experience in facilities planning, asset management, and overseeing major construction projects and facilities management.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Oversight of multiple healthcare facility sites.

Ability to navigate and negotiate objectives and deliverables with a wide range of stakeholders.
Advanced skills in MS Office applications.
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $316,147 - $430,728 . The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, seniority, etc.
