How you make a difference

Lead with Impact as a Nurse Manager!

Are you a passionate leader ready to make a difference in patient care? As a Nurse Manager, you'll provide both clinical and administrative oversight for your assigned unit(s), ensuring that nursing staff deliver exceptional care through a comprehensive nursing process-assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

You'll lead by example, supervising nursing employees and actively participating in employee development and performance improvement initiatives. By fostering a strong interdisciplinary team, you'll help create the best patient experience and drive positive clinical outcomes. Your leadership will be a key factor in shaping the success of the unit and the well-being of those served.

Key Responsibilities

Nursing Care Supervision and Coordination Plan, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of nursing care by licensed nurses and residential treatment assistants, ensuring appropriate responsibility assignments, accurate documentation, and oversight of the therapeutic environment.

Staffing, Scheduling, and Communication Monitor staffing and scheduling, manage human resources and materials, and communicate and collaborate with various departments, facilities, individuals served, and their families or visitors.

Direct Supervision and Employee Development Provide direct supervision of unit-level service delivery, motivate employees, guide problem-solving, resolve conflicts, and conduct employee meetings with training components. Evaluate performance using evaluation tools and generate related reports.

Safety Monitoring and Issue Resolution Monitor, report, and assist with the resolution of safety issues on the unit, ensuring a safe environment for individuals served and staff.

Professional Development and Collaboration Continue professional development through education, workshops, and conferences; promote multidisciplinary teamwork, communication, and collaboration for improved organizational outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Preferred: For roles outside California a bachelor's degree in nursing, a related health care or medical service, behavioral or rehabilitative science field. For California-based roles, graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience:

Required: For roles outside of California, three (3) years as registered nurse (RN). For California-based roles, two (2) years as a nurse.

Preferred: Experience in a forensic or mental health setting.

Licenses:

Required: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment or possess a multi-state compact license recognized by the State of employment to practice professional nursing.
