Join the Sheraton Sioux Falls team and work in our beautiful atrium atmosphere. Our Falling Water Grille is a full-service restaurant that seats up to 60 people. We are located by Denny Sanford Premier Center and Sioux Falls Convention Center where all the best events happen. Our guests include international travelers, concert goers, sports teams, business travelers and families as well as locals. If you enjoy variety in your work, this position is for you!
How you will provide our guests an excellent dining experience:
· Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests;?
· Greet guests, escort them to tables, and provide menus, answering dining related questions, and suggest food and beverage items;?
· ?Take food and beverage orders, relay orders to kitchen, and serve food to guests;?
· Monitors tables in assigned section ensuring all guests are served;
· ?Answer telephone calls and process phone orders;
· Address guest complaints;??
· Collect and process guest payments;??
· Totals receipts at end of shift to verify sales and clear cash register;??
· Ensures tips are reported properly for tax processing;
· Coordinate amenity delivery request in connection with the kitchen department;?
· Clear dirty table settings and prepare?table?for resetting;??
· Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments;
· Inspect dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness;?
· Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; and any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Preferred Experience:
Previous customer service, restaurant and bartending experience
Previous experience with Micros operating system
Physical:
Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift, able to bend and squat repeatedly, able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
