Job Title: Machine Setup Operator

Job Description

Begin your career as a Machine Operator, where you will initially learn the machines and operations. After a few weeks, you will be trained to set up the machines. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating two large blow mold machines at any given time. The role involves starting, monitoring, catching, packing, sorting, and palletizing bottles and parts. This position will also provide training to become a setup technician, involving manual setups, light troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Pay: $19.58

Responsibilities

Operate two large blow mold machines.

Start, monitor, catch, pack, sort, and palletize bottles and parts.

Perform manual setups based on work orders.

Work with tools to set up gears and systems of the machines.

Conduct light troubleshooting and maintenance.

Essential Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Experience with machine operation.

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Ability to be on feet for entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working around equipment and in a louder work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Desire to learn machine setup.

Capability to work in a climate-controlled environment.

Ability to work straight 8-hour shifts with paid lunch.

Work Environment

Work in a customer blow molding company that produces plastic containers for various industries including water, dairy, agriculture, and more. The manufacturing floor is climate-controlled with 13 machines in total, including 11 blow mold machines and 2 stretch mold machines. The environment can be somewhat loud, but ear plugs are provided. The team consists of about 10-15 employees per shift with one setup technician, one maintenance technician, two team leads, one supervisor, and one general manager per shift. Shifts include 1st (7am-3pm, Mon-Fri), 2nd (3pm-11pm, Mon-Fri), and 3rd (11pm-7am, Sun-Thur).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.58 - $19.58/hr.
