Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are looking for six skilled Machinists to support our programs and machining operations. The Machinists will be responsible for working from blueprints, drawings, and route sheets. They must be able to set up machines and make edits to existing programs. The role involves planning, laying out, fabricating, and assembling complex production machined parts and highly complex proto@type research and development machined parts. The position requires the ability to perform calculations necessary to determine starting points or setup of numerically controlled machines. The Machinists will set up and operate various @types of CNC and manual machine shop equipment independently.

Responsibilities

Work from blueprints, drawings, and route sheets.

Set up machines and make edits to existing programs.

Plan, lay out, fabricate, and assemble complex production machined parts and highly complex proto@type research and development machined parts.

Perform calculations necessary to determine starting points or setup of numerically controlled machines.

Set up, program, and operate all @types of CNC and manual machine shop equipment including 4, 5, and 6 Axis CNC and Manual Milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, bench grinders, shapers, planers, horizontal and vertical boring mills, and jib boring machines.

Ensure quality machining of titanium, copper, brass, tool steels, various stainless steels, magnesium, nickel, plastics, epoxy fibers, and other materials.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 5 years experience in machining.

Ability to read blueprints.

Experience with CNC machining.

Proficiency in using mills, lathes, micrometres, and other machining tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Mill turn experience is a plus.

Experience with Unigraphics (UG) software is preferred but not necessary.

Knowledge of aerospace machining is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
