Line Cook : (2) Fulltime, Temporary, Peak Load (H-2B) Jobs available 5/01/2025-10/31/2025.

Employer: Whippoorwill Club, 150 Whippoorwill Road, Armonk, NY 10504.

Duties: Prepare, season and cook soups,meats, vegetables, desserts, or other foodstuffs in restaurants. Chop and cut fresh vegetables and fruits. May order supplies, keep records and accounts, price items on menu, or plan menu. Observe recipe guidelines and sanitation procedures.

Voluntary housing arrangements may be provided, upon availability, along with the corresponding deduction of $23.35/week (utilities included).

Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations from housing complex to job site and return transportation from the job site to the housing complex.

No minimum education required. No experience required. Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned. Ability to communicate in English.

Work Hours: 40 hours/week minimum, shifts vary Tues-Sun 9:00am-5:00pm and 1:00pm-9:00pm. Must be available and to work split-shifts, nights, weekends & holidays as needed. Pay rate $20.41/hour, overtime possible but not guaranteed at $30.62/hour. Raises/bonuses may be offered to any worker based on performance, skill, tenure.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages. Workers will be paid weekly, on Friday.

All deductions from the workers paycheck required by law will be made.

The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $16.28/day without receipts or up to $68.00/day with receipts.
