You must possess a current license to practice law in the state of Louisiana and have at least four years as a practicing attorney in order to be considered for this position.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice law plus four years of experience as a practicing attorney.

Supervise and mentor a team of attorneys, ensuring their professional development and performance goals are met.
Provide legal counsel and guidance concerning grant management, real estate, and housing regulations.
Interprets state and federal statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance by the Corporation with all applicable statues and regulations and that LHC's activities are compliant with relevant codes, regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local laws, including those of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Ensures compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Housing Laws, the Violence Against Women's Act, and other relevant federal, state, and local laws fair housing and discrimination laws.
Renders complex legal opinions on particular program issues and on specialized high-level issues regarding the LHC, its Board, and its programs.
Maintain knowledge of HUD laws, regulations and requirements, in addition to other applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the agency's operations.
Led counsel for Disaster Recovery, Agency Properties, and Housing Trust Fund.
