Personal Finance Specialist

Scope

To provide productive, preventive, and remedial consumer credit counseling and debt management services for the membership.

Essential Duties

· Provides consumer credit counseling and administers debt management services for the company.

· Recovers loan payments that might otherwise have been lost due to members financial difficulties.

· This includes interviewing member to accurately assess their financial situation and determining the level of counseling required (educational, preventive, or remedial)

· All counselors are handling inbound and making outbound calls- most inbound are transfers from DCC or credit card, loan applications in case they get denied for a loan

· Making outbound calls-following up with a member who has submitted an application to be counseled or wants to be called, some calls are made for a "follow up" action or correction

· Members being counseled on spot

· Members requesting to be reached out too

· STRESS: this can be a high stress position

· ONE CALL RESOLUTION, problem solving is a huge deal

· Performs other related duties as required or appropriate.

Volume

· Counsel time is around 20-30 mins. - going over expenses, improve financial situation, checking if member qualifies for assistance

· Currently call volume is back-to-back, as soon as getting off one call, they are on the next call

· no EXACT goal to complete a certain amount of call

Experience

· #1 customer service

· Personality, detail oriented-notes are very detailed in the system, member service

· Empathy is a huge trait

· Working with people is huge: comfortable having conversations regarding finances and what the member is going through

· Ability to navigate computer systems is very important

· Navigating through computer system

Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:30AM-8PM EST

· Lunch is scheduled in advance due to call volume one 30 min lunch and two 15 minute lunches

Training: 2 ½ weeks 8-4:30 (EST). Hybrid as well. The first three days on site are 7am-3:30pmCST/8am-4:30pm EST. The remaining 2 1/2 weeks are 8am-4:30am CST/ 9-5:30 EST.

Working environment: Hybrid, one day on site per week. Can choose 4 days in one week, or 1 day per week.

· 1st day: on site, then virtual training, and then graduation will be on site

Pay $19/HR | $28.5/HR (OT)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
