Description

We are based in Worcester, Massachusetts. We are currently in need of a Staff Accountant who can aid us in a variety of accounting tasks. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity and is integral to our team's success.

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing budgets to ensure financial stability and transparency.

Handle bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.

Maintain and update General Ledger on a regular basis.

Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately.

Execute bank reconciliations periodically to ensure financial accuracy.

Prepare and record Journal Entries as part of the month-end close process.

Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure they are correctly accounted for.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize financial data and generate reports.

Undertake any other accounting-related tasks as needed to support the team.

Requirements

Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing.

Proven experience with bank reconciliations.

Strong understanding of the general ledger and journal entries.

Ability to manage the month-end close process efficiently.

Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
