Accounting Specialist

Description We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team in the retail industry, based in Hollister, California. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be primarily tasked with maintaining and streamlining our finance processes, including both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will be playing a crucial role in enhancing our financial workflows.

Responsibilities:

Streamline AR and AP procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Address discrepancies within vendor/customer accounts, invoices, and payments.

Implement improved tracking systems while updating financial data and rectifying errors.

Timely processing of payments, invoices, and expense reimbursements.

Collaborate with the finance team to upkeep accurate ledgers and financial documentation.

Provide indispensable support for audits, reporting, and other finance-related tasks.

Use accounting software systems, ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to perform accounting functions.

Apply auditing and billing functions knowledge to enhance financial processes. Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role within the retail industry.

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.

Familiarity with Ceridian is an advantage.

Experience with Concur is preferred.

Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.

Ability to perform various accounting functions effectively.

Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required.

Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

Skills in auditing are a must.

Proficiency in billing functions is required.
