Job Overview
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Vice President of Finance is a highly strategic, visible, and impactful role responsible for leading the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Corporate Accounting teams within the broader Finance organization.
This role is critical in driving complex FP&A initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, analytics, business case assessments, and consolidated reporting. The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key business partner to the executive leadership team, including the CEO, COO, CCO, CPO, and other functional leaders, ensuring the company meets its strategic and financial objectives. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping, analyzing, and supporting the execution of the company's financial strategy while having significant interaction with senior leadership.
Additionally, the Vice President of Finance will oversee the Corporate Accounting team, including accounting operations and processes, financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, management of the company's consolidated financial statement audit and global statutory audits, and collaboration with the Corporate Controller on tax and treasury initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner proactively with the Executive Leadership Team and operational leaders to drive strategic, operational, and financial objectives.
Serve as a trusted financial advisor to executives and stakeholders on all FP&A-related activities, supporting strategic decision-making.
Develop and execute a strategic, efficient, and comprehensive financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to generate actionable insights for the executive team.
Manage the annual planning process, ensuring alignment across all business functions and optimizing growth opportunities.
Analyze monthly financial results, identify key performance drivers, conduct ad-hoc analyses, develop remediation plans, and integrate insights into monthly forecasts.
Prepare monthly and quarterly deliverables, including management reporting packages, board presentations, and lender presentations as needed.
Oversee financial modeling and due diligence processes to support a successful exit strategy in a sale process.
Support the Chief Commercial Officer with proposal and order tracking, sales planning analytics, and strategic alignment with key business goals.
Partner with the Chief Operating Officer to assess and develop growth plans and evaluate strategic business cases.
Assess and oversee incentive plan design, ensuring accurate performance evaluation and alignment with business objectives.
Provide strategic decision-support analysis, including risk-reward modeling and M&A due diligence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure the execution of strategic initiatives.
Attract, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Drive continuous process improvement in accounting operations to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Assist in defining and executing the company's financial integration strategy.
Collaborate with the CFO to assess risks and opportunities, developing action plans to address challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.

Professional Experience & Qualifications:
BS Accounting. MBA and CPA a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or accounting operations, with at least five years in a senior finance leadership role.
Experience in a private equity-backed or growth-oriented environment preferred.
Proven track record of driving profitable growth, increasing market share, and optimizing return on invested capital.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in financial modeling and data-driven decision-making.
Experience in building and optimizing finance teams and processes.
Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and executive stakeholder engagement.
Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment, demonstrating transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
Experience in a project-based, utilization-driven professional services environment is a plus.
Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is desirable but not required.
Location: This position is based in Columbia, MD, with a preference for on-site work. Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates. Our Columbia office serves as our Global Headquarters and is home to several Executive Leadership Team members. The location is approximately a 30-minute drive from Washington, D.C., and 20 minutes from Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI).
