Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of accounting principles who are eager to apply their knowledge in a professional setting

Responsibilities:

Handle the processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy in financial data.

Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations

Maintain and manage the General Ledger

Prepare and post Journal Entries

Assists in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other reports for management

Assist in tracking expenditures against budgets and ensuring compliance with municipal financial policies

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA or CPA candidate preferred

2+ years of experience working as a Staff Accountant

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge and experience in Governmental accounting is preferred
