Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Bradenton, Florida. This role involves managing a variety of accounting tasks, including improving business processes / system optimization within Blackbaud Financial Edge fund accounting software and the overall maintenance of accurate financial records. In-office presence is preferred for this role, but client is open to a hybrid arrangement and would potentially consider remote for an ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Implement and uphold best practices for Blackbaud Financial Edge software

Manage the cleanup of all accounting records retrospectively for last few months

Handle go-forward accounting, ensuring all future records are clean and accurate

Prepare financial statements and conduct account and cash reconciliations

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

Oversee payroll processes and ensure they are carried out accurately

Ensure the foundation is audit compliant for the following year

Oversee budgeting processes and ensure they are carried out accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

Proficiency in Full Cycle Monthly Accounting Functions, with a demonstrated ability to manage and oversee all financial transactions within a company

Extensive experience in Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices

Strong background in Accounts Receivable (AR), monitoring incoming payments and ensuring they are recorded and deposited correctly

Familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge software, demonstrating the ability to utilize this tool for effective financial management

Demonstrated experience in Payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on-time

Skill in Account Reconciliation, verifying and correcting financial data as necessary

Expertise in Cash Reconciliation, ensuring all cash transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled

Proven ability in Financial Statement Preparation, showcasing the ability to prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports

Experience in Budgeting, with the ability to develop, implement, and manage a company's financial budget
