Job Summary: The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of experienced electricians to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role is designed for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge in the electrical trade while completing a formal apprenticeship program.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist journeyman electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment on the job site.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical codes to assist in completing electrical installations and repairs.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, including wire strippers, drills, and voltage testers.

Troubleshoot electrical problems and assist with diagnosing faults in electrical systems.

Install electrical outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.

Pull and route electrical cables and wires through walls, floors, and ceilings.

Maintain and organize tools, materials, and equipment on job sites.

Keep accurate records of work completed and any materials used.

Adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.

Participate in ongoing training and education to improve technical skills and knowledge.

Assist with the preparation of job sites, including setting up ladders, scaffolding, and other necessary equipment.

Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by the journeyman electricians.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Strong interest in the electrical trade with a desire to learn and grow in the field.

Must be physically capable of performing tasks that require bending, lifting, standing, and working in various weather conditions.

Basic knowledge of hand tools and electrical equipment.

Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable).

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as required.

Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus.

Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program.

Basic knowledge of electrical safety protocols and regulations.
