Title:Part-Time Business Office Cashier

Hiring Range:Minimum $16.26 per hour

Wytheville Community College (WCC) seeks a part-time Business Office Cashier. This position will independently provide support to the various functions in the WCC Business Office. Serve as the first point of contact in the office for students, college customers, and employees. Provides support to college customers in person and over the phone. Advises students on how to pay tuition and the different payment options that are available. Accurately keys daily deposits of state, local, and federal funds into the college's accounting system. Enters journal entries as directed by the Business Manager. Organizes and disperses reports to the Business Office staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in providing customer service; Cash handling experience; Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (or equivalent) software, specifically spreadsheets; Experience in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task; and Experience entering financial data into a PeopleSoft (or comparable) accounting system.

Additional Considerations:

Prior accounting experience; and Higher education Office experience
