Job Title: Project Consultant, Sustainability, Energy, & Climate Change

Location: 1001 4th Ave, Ste. 3100, Seattle, WA 98154

Duties: Developing entity-wide inventories and product life cycle assessment for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources. Conducting verifications of entity-wide inventories for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources. Developing and maintaining data management systems and business intelligence tools. Designing sustainability or climate risk management performance targets and accompanying strategies and achievement plans. Identifying and evaluating opportunities to achieve energy, GHG, and resource reductions. Analyzing energy efficiency and renewable energy purchase options. Conducting climate- and water-related risk and opportunity assessments. Researching and leading sustainability programs and initiatives. Producing sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communications. Supporting business development activities with existing and prospective clients. Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Salary $101,805.91. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Environmental Science, Climate Science, or related plus 3 years of experience as an Environmental Scientist, Climate Change Specialist, or related. Experience must include: Developing and implementing climate risk assessments, along with analyzing climate data from IPCC and World Bank Climate Portal in alignment with frameworks such as TCFD and the Equator Principles. Creating and managing GHG inventories and net-zero frameworks in compliance with federal/provincial regulations and the GHG Protocol. Leading stakeholder engagement initiatives to advance nature-based climate adaptation strategies across municipal, engineering, and environmental sectors.
