POSITION SUMMARY: The Machine Operator II position is responsible for the operation of all machines used to produce parts for the assembly of tonneau covers, kits, and other associated parts per specification. The Machine Operator II may also be asked to help in other areas of the factory as required by the production or shipping schedule.

Essential Functions of the Position Include: Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as directed. Operate machines as required for production. Operate the Prima, including dial in of new programs and quality checks of existing programs Complete the qualification check sheet to the satisfaction of the Machine Cell Manager Ensure work orders are accurately documented with all relevant information. Collaborate with other departments, such as assembly, maintenance and supply chain, to coordinate workflow and resolve any issues. Maintain organized files and records of work orders, production reports, and other relevant documents. Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and efficient production Maintain a clean and organized work area Meet daily production quotas and time standards while maintaining a high level of quality Train others on the machines Always have safety in mind as a top priority Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a similar position is desirable but not required SKILLS: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality with a continuous improvement mind-set. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Reliable in terms of attendance and punctuality Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards. Ability to minimize errors and respond to customer satisfaction feedback.
