SUMMARY:

Responsible for the primary daily oversight of the accounting system operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist with monthly expenditure reports online (via TWC Cash Draw and Expenditure Reporting System) for all funds and maintain monthly expenditure detail.

Process and post all cash disbursements by revenue source and funds.

Maintain and process all training payments.

Assist with cost pool distribution and cost allocation.

Assist with financial monitoring, oversee subcontractors.

Perform financial analysis, as necessary.

Maintain and organize files for Auditors/Monitors.

Assist with the Accounts Payable process.

Provides secondary review of transactions prior to posting into general ledger by Accounting Manager.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software, E-mail and Internet software.

Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
