Sales Associate

Essential duties may include:

-Handle all in-park ticket & membership sales -Validate tickets and admit entry into the park and various exhibits/attractions -Actively promote and inform guests about our diverse assortment of premium products; such as memberships -Process all transactions through the ticketing point-of-sale system -Assist with the operation of the Central Park Zoo 4D Theater -Inspect assigned work area prior to and during park hours, looking for safety hazards, facility issues, housekeeping needs, potential injuries, etc. Report issues to supervisor or Area Manager. -Providing superior service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions, amenities, and enforcing general park policies -Assisting the team in carrying out any additional operational duties

Qualification Requirements -Friendly, outgoing personality -Ability to engage in park related conversation with the general public -Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to an 8 hour shift -Ability to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds -Comfortable working outdoors exposed to cold and hot weather conditions for long periods of time -Successfully be able to learn cash register responsibilities -Reliable, punctual, excellent attendance -Ability to take direction, work independently and work well with others -Feel comfortable dealing with high stress situations or around large crowds
