We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Teacher to join our team at Wibaux County High School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FCS education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students in grades 7-12. In addition to teaching FCS courses, this position offers the opportunity to serve as the advisor for the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA} chapter at our school.

Teaching:Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Instruction:

Design and deliver engaging and relevant FCS curriculum for students in grades 7-12, covering areas such as nutrition, culinary arts, parenting, personal finance, and life skills.

Classroom Management:

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and explore various aspects of family and consumer sciences.

Assessment and Evaluation:

Implement effective assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide timely feedback to support student growth and achievement.

Extracurricular Leadership (Optional):

Serve as the advisor for the FCCLA chapter, organizing meetings, coordinating activities, and guiding students in leadership development, community service projects, and competitive events.

FCCLA

Program:

Serve as the FCCLA Advisor, overseeing the implementation and success of the FFCLA program.

Coordinate and guide students in various FCCLA activities, including but not limited to career development events, leadership conferences, and community service projects.

Mentor FCCLA members in developing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

QuaIifications:

Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Valid teaching license/certification in Family and Consumer Sciences or eligibility for licensure in [State].

Experience teaching FCS courses at the middle or high school level is
