Schedule: M-F

Pay Rate: $40-44/hr

Location: Austin, TX

Position Type: FT

Travel: Up to 5% International travel

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in strategic planning and technology related discussions that drive equipment designs

Provide proven or innovative solutions to complex electro-mechanical mechanisms, as well as, key industry driven specifications

Present materials that support ideas pictorially and analytically using common "design review" practices

Interact with cross functional groups to plan, schedule and budget (multiple) projects

Provide timely, thorough and accurate release of engineering documentation that supports design requirements for R&D proto@types and / or high volume manufacturing

Utilize safety standards in design and contributes to the safe operation of the equipment and company operations

Requirements:

Job experience includes 2 years of semiconductor equipment industry related experience

Custom automation or related capital equipment background is acceptable

BSEE is required

Ability to support design solutions through engineering calculations while utilizing cost effective methods Working knowledge of PCB layout and cable design

Previous background supporting comprehensive understanding of motion and thermal controls, RF and DC high power components and EMI/RFI shielding

In depth knowledge of industry standards, such as: Semi S2/S8, CE, NEC, etc.

Good written, verbal and presentation skills are required

Preferences:

MS or PhD with lab experience preferred

Physical Effort/Activities:

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
