Job Title:Nursing Onboarding Specialist

Location:Pennypack, Northeast Philadelphia Job Type:Temporary Duration:2 months Department:Human Resources

Pay Rate: $25/hr. - $28/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 am- 5pm.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Temporary Nursing Onboarding Specialist to provide short-term support in coordinating and facilitating the onboarding and hiring process for newly hired nursing staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring that new RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical staff are well-prepared and integrated into the team is a short period of time. The ideal candidate has a background in efficiently onboarding new hires in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage the full onboarding process for new hires for the nursing department in a short period of time.

Serve as a point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period.

Track onboarding progress, collect required credentials, and maintain onboarding checklists.

Contant follow-ups with all new hires to complete pre-employment screenings, required documentation, and background checks that are required.

Schedule all new hires for orientation.

Address questions or challenges from new hires to support their success and retention.

Track onboarding tasks, documentation, and training completion within HRIS systems.

Maintain accurate records of I-9s, licenses, certifications, and background checks in compliance with regulations.

Gather feedback fro m new employees and recommend process improvements to enhance the onboarding experience.

Ensure consistent professionalism in all onboarding activities and communications.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced in onboarding staff in healthcare, senior care, or a regulated industry

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Ability to transition new hires into the organization in a short period of time

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of experience in onboarding, HR coordination, or employee relations

Strong organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in HRIS/ATS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in senior care, long-term care, or a CCRC environment

Proficiency in onboarding platforms.

Ability to start immediately or with short notice
