The Wayne County Care Center is currently accepting applications for the position of part-time Activity Assistant for the County's 50 bed skilled/ intermediate care nursing facility.

Responsibilities of the Activity Assistant:

[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Create, organize, implement meaningful social and recreational activities to engage residents

[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Provide daily. Weekly and monthly events that meet the interests of each resident

[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Provide activities that stimulate the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident

[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Ensure charting and all documentation is completed in accordance with current regulations

[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Communicate with all departments about activities to ensure residents are provided with the best experience in order to provide quality service

[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Must participate in facility inspections, as needed and perform administrative duties

[ ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}Hours include M-W-F and every other Saturday from 9-4 weekdays and 9-2 Saturday, and occasional evenings until 7pm.

Requirements of an Activity Assistant:
