Grade 7-12 SCIENCE TEACHER

Washburn Public School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 7-12 Science Teacher to join our faculty and science department. The ideal candidate will inspire students in grades 7-12 through engaging, standards-aligned science instruction. Candidates should be enthusiastic about teaching and committed to fostering critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and a lifelong love of science. Currently this position teachers Physical Science, Earth Science, and rotationally from year to year offers Forensics, Chemistry, and could offer other courses such as Physics.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state and national standards

Create a safe, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment

Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Incorporate lab activities, demonstrations, and technology to enhance instruction

Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in science or science education

Valid ND teaching license (or eligibility to obtain one)
