Job Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager (Mitigation & Reconstruction) to oversee projects from the initial call to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and above-average problem-solving abilities. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and prioritize effectively. The right candidate will excel at closing out projects and possess a solid understanding of insurance claim processes and construction principles. The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of mitigation and remediation practices for water, fire, smoke, storm, and mold damage.

Role-Specific Requirements (Mitigation & Reconstruction Project Manager)

Manage all aspects of insurance restoration projects from initial contact to final close-out.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors.

Accurately scope and estimate projects using industry-standard software (e.g., Xactimate).

Coordinate and schedule all project phases, including mitigation, remediation, and reconstruction, using Buildertrend.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.

Document all project activities, including photos, notes, and correspondence.

Process change orders, invoices, and payment applications in a timely manner.

Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and adjusters.

All Team Members Requirements

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Prior experience in construction, with a focus on insurance restoration preferred.

Proficiency with email, calendars, scheduling, and construction management software.

Ability to adhere to 5S organizational principles.

Assist in creating, revising, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts and provide constructive suggestions.

Adaptability and flexibility to handle shifting priorities and emergency situations.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with homeowners during stressful situations.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Location: Ludington, MI

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation: Salary position, $65k-$70k, depending on experience. Production bonus opportunities.
