Job Summary The Staff Accountant, Transaction Processing is responsible for performing a variety of accounting activities, including month-end close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and sub ledger transactions.

This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting audits, and providing critical accounting insights to assist with financial decision-making. The Staff Accountant works independently on routine tasks and takes on more complex accounting responsibilities, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Essential Functions

Performs and reviews monthly close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Reconciles complex accounts, including AP/AR accounts.

Supports tax filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance efforts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to external agencies as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit required.

Experience in corporate accounting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general accounting principles.

Experience with month-end close processes, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) and financial reporting tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently on accounting tasks.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, working with cross-functional teams.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
