Were looking for anAccounting Manager a detail-oriented, organized, and mission-driven professional who will oversee the financial operations that keepTri-Valley Transit (TVT)moving forward. Your work will ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in all aspects of our financial management while supporting a team committed to providing safe, reliable, accessible, and affordable transportation services for our communities.

What Youll Do:

Overseeall accounting department operations, including accounts

payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

Assist in preparation ofaccurate and timely**financial

statements**.

Ensure compliance withGAAP, federal and state regulations,

andfederal and state grant requirements.

Supportbudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes;

assist department managers with budget tracking.

Monitor and reconcilegrants, restricted funds, and other

specialized accounts.

Assist withthe annual audit process and liaise with external

auditors.

Aid in the development, documentation, and improvement

ofbusiness processes and accounting policiesto strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency.

Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff; assist

withperformance evaluationsand foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment.

Collaborate with other departments to support**organizational goals

and strategic decision-making**.

Use data analysis to identify trends, improve processes, and inform

leadership decisions.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelors degreein accounting, finance, or related field.

At least5 years of progressive accounting experience, with**2+

years in a supervisory or management role**.

Strong knowledge of**Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

(GAAP)and financial reporting standards.and internal controls**.

**Experience managing federal and state grant funding, including

compliance and reporting, a plus.

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or

similar) andadvanced Microsoft Excel**skills; MIP experience a plus.

Excellentanalytical, organizational, and communicationskills.

Ability tomanage multiple prioritiesin a deadline-driven

environment.

Strong leadership andteam-building capabilities.

Ability to workindependently and collaborativelyin a fast-paced

setting.

Ability to pass all required background checks.
