The Town of Firestone is currently seeking a Police Records Supervisor to join our Police Department. -Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including providing training, guidance, mentorship and evaluation of performance -Knowledge of the Town s rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures -Knowledge of policies, procedures, and precedents about the retention and release of records to district attorneys or other agencies and the public -Knowledge of the organization procedures and operating details of records management within a police department -Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing -Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise a high level of discretion working with sensitive information -Ability to work under high stress and exercise good judgment in demanding situations -Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers, superiors, court officials, suspects, witnesses, other law enforcement professionals, and the general public -Ability to exercise initiative and to make sound, independent judgments Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills -Ability to work both collaboratively and independently -Ability to multi-task, effectively organize assigned duties, manage time effectively, and work within deadlines -Ability to work in an environment with multiple interruptions and distractions -Ability to employ patience and tact in dealing with internal and external customers -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience: -High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Criminal Justice preferred -Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a law enforcement agency is required; specific experience in Police records and digital evidence is preferred -Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred -A combination of education and experience may be considered

Licenses/Certifications: -Valid Colorado Driver License and satisfactory driving record required -Must possess or obtain CORA/CCJRA certification within twelve (12) months of employment and maintain certification throughout employment -Must possess or obtain CCRN (Colorado Certified Records Network) Master Records Certification within twelve (12) months of employment depending on conference availability and maintain certification throughout employment -Must be a notary public or be willing to obtain within six (6) months of employment and maintain throughout employment
