Job Title: HR Manager

About the Role

We're looking for a well-rounded HR Manager to join our team and become the primary HR representative for the company. This is a unique opportunity to step into a broad HR role with the benefit of a long, structured transition period and hands-on training from our current HR Manager.

You'll gain exposure to all areas of HR -- recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, performance management, payroll, and more. Over time, you'll take ownership of day-to-day HR operations while continuing to partner with leadership to support our people and strengthen our culture.

What You'll Do

Recruitment & Onboarding

Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, draft job descriptions, and manage the recruitment process.

Coordinate candidate interviews, prepare offer letters, and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing questions, concerns, and workplace issues.

Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Compliance & HR Policies

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Assist with the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.

Benefits & Leave Administration

Support benefits enrollment, respond to employee inquiries, and liaise with benefits providers.

Administer leave of absence programs and ensure proper documentation.

Performance Management

Assist in coordinating performance review processes, tracking goals, and supporting employee development.

Provide guidance to managers on coaching, feedback, and performance improvement.

HR Administration

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making.

Payroll Processing

Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time

Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and company policies.

Submit quarterly and annual payroll reports, gather documentation for audits.

What We're Looking For

2--5 years of HR experience, ideally in a management role.

Solid understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment law.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills -- you enjoy working with people at all levels.

Organized and adaptable, able to balance multiple priorities.

Comfortable working independently, with the curiosity to learn and the confidence to take ownership over time.

HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
