The Wood Group PLLC, a Seattle-based litigation firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney or Contract Attorney with 3 to 5 years of litigation experience. Prior experience in toxic tort matters is strongly preferred but not required.

Our firm represents businesses and insurers in complex litigation, including toxic tort defense, products liability, and commercial disputes. Attorneys who join our team gain the benefit of working directly with experienced litigators while enjoying a supportive and collaborative environment.

This fully remote role offers the opportunity to take on substantive casework from day one, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and client advocacy, while developing skills and growing professionally in a litigation-focused practice.

Responsibilities

Manage litigation from discovery through trial preparation.

Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and related legal filings

Conduct and defend depositions.

Represent clients in hearings and maintain strong communication with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.

Balance multiple cases and deadlines with organization and independence.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice in Washington State.

3 to 5 years of civil litigation experience preferred.

Experience with toxic tort defense strongly preferred but not required.

Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues and staff.
