The Seabrook of Hilton Head is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Time Controller to join our leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the community, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial performance while supporting our mission of providing exceptional senior living services.

Position Summary

The Controller will manage accounting functions, for The Seabrook, a not-for-profit company and The Regime, a for profit entity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or multi-department operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting and financial operations

Oversee month end closing process and account reconciliations

Receive and disburse funds related to Residents entry fees and membership fees

Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Coordinate audits and maintain supporting documentation

Manage cash flow and bank account transfers between two companies and maintain inter-company accounts

Work with CFO on Financial Planning and analysis

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required

Minimum 3-5 years of accounting or controller experience

Healthcare, senior living, or hospitality experience preferred

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Matrixcare accounting software preferred but not required

Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

CPA or advanced accounting certification preferred but not required

Ability to work on tight deadlines
