FUNCTION & SCOPE:

Working under the general supervision of the Vice President of the Office of Internal Audit, as well as the Manager and Senior Associate Auditor, this intern will complete various audit assignments while assisting with the execution of the RF annual internal audit plan. Incumbent will work in collaboration with other audit team members in the areas of auditing, risk assessment, internal controls and management advisory services.

DUTIES:

Assist in execution of detailed audit procedures related to internal audits and external audits, with supervision.

Assist with general office duties, including scheduling meetings, speaking with internal and external customers, etc.

Be an effective team player by working with other members of the RF to accomplish objectives.

Conduct research and summarize results related to audit areas.

Assist in preparing draft reports and workpapers for review.

Other duties/projects as assigned.

Compensation for this role is $20 an hour

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

High school degree or equivalent and currently enrolled in an accredited degree program.

Working knowledge of standard office procedures (e.g. the ability to assist with scheduling meetings and general administrative duties).

Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members to achieve shared goals.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and/or Power Point) software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

College level coursework in accounting, auditing principles, information technology, forensics or business.

Students from the State University of New York colleges and universities.

Familiarity with COSO concepts.
