FUNCTION & SCOPE:

The student selected for this position will be reporting to Human Resources to build an in-depth understanding of the organization's website presence and the content management system (CMS) used for public delivery. The candidate will provide essential support for maintaining, enhancing, and developing the organization's website. This includes executing routine modification requests, generating testing sites and proto@types, and providing project-level support for web initiatives. The student must be able to execute assigned tasks from conception to completion in a timely and accurate manner. The individual will primarily assist on tasks associated with the web presence, such as executing routine content and design updates, participating in testing and validation of new web changes, and addressing end-user website issues. Collaboration and regular status updates with various team members will be crucial for project success.

DUTIES:

Assist with web page development, design, content generation/editing, and large-scale web content migrations.

Ensure thorough documentation of all web development and modification requests.

Utilize techniques such as wireframing and prototyping in development activities to achieve a high-quality end product.

Perform image manipulation tasks including image resizing, file format conversion, and basic editing for web optimization.

Assist with the execution of testing of new web changes to ensure cross-browser functionality and display quality (responsive design).

Troubleshoot website-related issues and collaborate with the team on resolution.

Other web and digital experience duties as assigned.

SPECIAL SKILLS (Web Focus):

Ability to manage web project as it relates to The RF's strategic plan and priorities with minimal supervision.

Adept in learning new web software tools and CMS platforms.

Work closely with the Web Design intern

Possess critical thinking skills in approaching website functionality and design problems.

Essential Experience:

Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.

Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS).

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop) for web asset creation.

Outstanding communication and organizational skills for coordinating web tasks.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 products (primarily for communication/tracking).

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Candidate should hold a high school degree or equivalent.

Is currently enrolled in an accredited degree program

Has demonstrated organization skills, willingness to work independently, problem solve, adhere to deadlines, effective listening/communication, and proven commitment to follow established processes/procedures.

COMPENSATION:

This position will be part-time, 20 hours a week, year-round.

Compensation for this role is $20/hr. for undergrad students and $22/hr. for grad students.
