General Store Cashier

The Waterwheel Trading Post in Killington, Vermont seeks cashiers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team at a convenience store considered a community staple, popular with both visitors and locals alike.

As a cashier, you will provide outstanding customer service while handling transactions efficiently. Your responsibilities include operating the cash register, processing payments, and making accurate change. Additional duties include stocking shelves, merchandising inventory, organizing and putting away incoming orders, and helping maintain the cleanliness of the store.

The ideal candidate is a team player who is detail-oriented, friendly, and reliable. Previous customer service experience is required, and prior cashier experience is preferred.

The Waterwheel Trading Post operates daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

We have two shifts available: Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Friday through Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with weekend availability required.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a retail environment

Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling cash

transactions

Strong communication skills for providing excellent customer service

Familiarity with stocking and merchandising in a grocery store

setting

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
