Job Description:

Texas Elite Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Maintenance and Repair Worker. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in general maintenance and repair tasks, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and contribute to the smooth operation of facilities.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues or necessary repairs.

Conduct repairs on a variety of systems and equipment, such as plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as carpentry and general building upkeep.

Troubleshoot problems to determine the root cause and implement effective solutions promptly.

Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, and other machinery.

Ensure that maintenance and repair work complies with safety regulations and standards.

Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.

Manage maintenance supplies inventory and order new materials as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and minimal downtime.

Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair work, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.

Respond to maintenance requests from staff and management promptly to minimize disruptions to operations.

Perform general cleaning and upkeep of facilities, including grounds maintenance such as landscaping, snow removal, and waste management.

Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and infrastructure as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in related fields preferred.

Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, with a strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and perform tasks that require manual labor.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for travel between work sites.
