**JOB SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the production process including assembly, order pulling, shipping, and receiving.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES The statements below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a job incumbent. 80% -Assembles components, cables, and products following detailed instructions, blueprints, or assembly drawings. 5% -Pulls new orders. Prepares orders for Quality inspection by kitting items per sales order or pick list and labeling with TEC part number. 5% -Unpacks and inspects incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, and corresponds with shipper to rectify any discrepancies. 5% -Packages items being shipped from the TEC dock; examines outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications; coordinates pickup of packages with various carriers; determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates; affixes shipping labels on packed cartons; tracks packages when required. 5% -Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment Mechanical aptitude, abstract reasoning skills, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written instructions Previous experience in electromechanical assembly preferred

**EDUCATION/TRAINING/LICENSES High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or training in manufacturing processes is a plus

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT Ability to lift, push or pull 1-40 lbs. frequently and 50+ lbs. occasionally. Work environment is a dust free area with good lighting. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.

**EQUIPMENT USED Standard office machines, including PC, multiline phone system, fax, copier, etc. Hand tools including but not limited to packaging tape dispenser, drill, tape measure, pallet bander for freight, screwdriver, pliers, utility knife, wire strippers, wrenches, soldering iron, etc.
