Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. Assist with bussing tables and oversee cleanliness of main dining areas and waiting area. To do well in this role you should be comfortable standing for long periods and managing a very busy shift.

Hostess Responsibilities:

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and guest count in party on waitlist tablet along with any necessary notes.

Provide guests with estimated waiting time.

Page guests using tablet when tables become available.

Ensure parties are complete prior to seating.

Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

Seat guests based on guest preferences when possible and while balancing customer flow in server stations.

Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their servers name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.

Helping in the overall cleanliness of restaurant as well as sweeping and assisting in cleaning of tables and highchairs.

Restroom checks every half hour.

Relay phone messages as needed.

Keeping counters organized for to go orders.

Polishing silverware as needed.

Rolling silverware and keeping menus clean.

Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Hostess Qualifications:

Of legal age to serve/handle alcohol (18+)

Must have exceptional grooming habits.

Must be efficient in time management

Must have flexible working hours

Able to stand for long periods of time

Have an outgoing and friendly attitude with others.

Have a team player attitude.
